After the March of the Salsaroes from Macritchie to Bukit Timah, you long for more activities to fill your mundane days. Far from the madding crowd is another world unknown to many.
A place, where animals and nature exist in harmony,
Touching the most vivid of our memories.
The FirefliesHow pretty they look! The little sparkles
That bring the drowsy woods to life.
They dance around, ignoring spectators,
Entertaining themselves with sudden dives.
Sometimes, one or two may wander off
But would rejoin the rest as time goes.
We approach them, slowly and soft,
To admire closely their pretty glows.
They are the souls of little children
Who come out in the night to play,
Like little kids carrying torches to burn
With no parents who bother to care.
We need land: the woods would soon be lost,
But we would never learn the loss.

SunnyAng Like the fireflies who used to inhabit our land long ago, the face of chek jawa may disappear from us one day as we encroach on the land(the reclamation plan is deferred but not cancelled). Catch it now and savour the memories.

Check out the pictures of all the plants and animals you can see from the link below.

We would be cycling to Chek Jawa from the visitor centre. Those who do not feel competent about cycling have no fear. You may catch a van to Chek Jawa and wait for us. After the visit, we would return to the visitor centre and have seafood before heading home. Anyone game?
Please inform early as permission need to be sought from NPark before entering Chek Jawa.
